Tomato chutney
* Take 5-6 ripened tomatoes and cut into 4 equal parts.
Ingredients :
Tomato - 5-6 ripened
Garlic - 4-5 pods
Chilli powder - 2 tea spoon
Curry leaves - 1 strand
Oil - 4 table spoons
Urid dhal - 1 tea spoon
Channa dhal - 1 tea spoon
Jeera - 1 teaspoon
Salt - 1 tea spoon
Tamarind - a small size ( optional)
Method:
* Add oil in a pan and put the tomatoes into it along with garlic.
* once the tomatoes turn mushy ,switch off the flame and transfer to the mixie jar.
* Grind it well with a small size of tamarind.
* Take a pan add oil and add mustard seeds once splutter add urid dhal ,channa dhal and jeera.
* Add the tomato mix into the pan and give a stir.
* Add the chilli powder, salt and curry leaves .
* Cover the pan with lid for 8-10 minutes in a low flame .
* Serve hot with paniyaram/idly/dosa/chappathi .
