   Bisibele bath Receipe




Ingredients:
  • Rice - 1 cup(200g)
  • Toor Dal-1 cup(200g)
  • Asafoetida - A pinch
  • Salt- As per your taste
  • Turmeric powder - A pinch
  • Peanut - 2 tea spoon(optional)
  • Ghee - 1 tea spoon(optional)

Vegetables:

  • Onion - one
  • Tomato - one
  • Carrot - Half
  • Potato - 1 small
  • Beans - 5 nos

Masala powder:

  • Urid dal-Half tea spoon
  • Channa dal-Half tea spoon
  • Jeera-Half tea spoon
  • pepper-Quarter tea spoon
  • coariender seeds-Half tea spoon
  • Dry chillies - 5 nos

Garnishing:

  • Oil - one tea spoon
  • Mustard seeds - Half spoon
  • Curry leaves - Handful
  • Dry chilli - Two


Method:


  • Cook one cup of rice with two and half cups of water and keep aside.
  • For one cup Toor dal add two and half cups of water and cook until you get mashy consistency.
  • Cut the vegetables into small pieces and add water,salt,turmeric powder ,Peanut and Asafoetida,cook it nicely.
  • To Prepare Masala powder dry roast all the masala ingredients given above.Grind them once its cool.
  • Take a heavy bottom pan and Add all the three together(cooked rice,boiled Toor dhall,boiled veg),And Add the masala powder and cook for 5 min in low flame.Add salt if required.
  • switch off the stove.
  • For tempering(Tadka)take a small pan add oil,mustard seeds,urid dhall,curry leaves and one or two dry chillies. 
  • Drizzel ghee.
  • serve hot.

Tips:
  • Instead of oil you can use only ghee.But adding more ghee will make the dish so heavy.
  • For garnishing you can add fried cashews also.
  • Vegetables are optional,you can add anything.
  • Instead of one big onion you can add 10 small onions.it will give more taste.
  • This is a perfect lunch box receipe.
  • You can serve this dish with potato fry or potato chips or applam or kara boondhi and pickle.
  • I have cooked everything seperately.but you can cook rice and dal in the same pressure cooker. leave it for 3 or 4 whistles.And add cooked vegetables along with masala powder with a final tempering.if the receipe is so thick add boiled hot water and mix it well.so that you will get the correct consistency.
  • You can either use raw or steam rice.
  • If you are using Kasmiri chillies it will give you a darker colour.
