Mushroom Briyani

       Mushroom Biryani


Ingredients :

Basmati rice - 1 cup (250g)
Oil - 2 teaspoon
Ghee - 1 teaspoon
cloves - 2
cardamom - 2
cinnamon - 2
bay leaves - 2 
Onion - 1 big
Tomato - 1 big
Turmeric powder - A pinch
Chilli powder - 1 teaspoon
Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
Garam masala - Half teaspoon
Curd - 2 teaspoon
Ginger garlic paste - 1 teaspoon
Mint - Handful
Coriander - Handful
Mushroom - 5
Salt - As require

Method : 


> Soak the basmati rice in normal water for half an hour.


>In a cooker add oil, ghee, cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, and bay leaves.



>Then add onion, green chilies, and salt wait it turns brown, then adds ginger garlic paste and mix well



> Now add tomatoes and turmeric powder and cook till tomatoes get mushy.


> Then add chili powder, coriander powder, and garam masala. Mix well. Then add chopped mushrooms.


> Add curd into it, 


>also add mint and coriander leaves.


>Then add water. ( 1: 2 is the ratio), for one cup rice two cup water for basmati rice.

> Let it boil

> Add soaked drained basmati rice once the water starts boiling.


>Cook with an open lid till the rice is 75% cooked. close the lid and pressure cook for 5 min in simmer flame. switch off the flame just before the cooker whistle blows.


> Wait till the pressure releases from the cooker. give a mix.


>Serve hot with onion raita and boiled egg.
