Ginger Gravy/Inji Kulambu in Kuchinigirls

 

Ingredients:

 

Ginger - 1 piece finely chopped

Onion - 1 Big finely chopped

Tomato - 1 small finely chopped

For Grinding:

Onion - 1 Big

Tomato - 1 small

Coconut - 2 Big piece

Fennel seeds - 1/4 teaspoon

Ginger - 1 piece

Seasoning:

Gingelly oil - 4 Teaspoon

Mustard seeds - 1/4 teaspoon

Urud dal - 1/4 teaspoon

Channa dal - 1/4 teaspoon

Cumin seeds - 1/4 teaspoon

Pepper - 1/4 teaspoon

Fenugreek seeds - 1/4 teaspoon

Dry chillies - 2

Curry leaves - Handful

Also :

Tamarind - Lemon size

Salt - As required

Method:

> Heat the pan by adding Gingelly oil
> Once oil heated add mustard. Once mustard spluttered add urad dal, chana dal, cumin seeds, pepper and fenugreek seeds
> Once its all fried add dry chilies, chopped ginger, and curry leaves
> Add onion and salt and mix well
> Give a stir till onion turns brown
> Then add tomatoes and turmeric powder
> Once tomatoes turn mushy add chili powder and coriander powder
> Saute it well


> For grinding add 1 onion,1 tomato and 1 ginger piece, and chopped coconut
> Also add fennel seeds. 

> Add required water and make a fine paste
> Now add the ground paste and mix well

> Now add tamarind water and mix well
> Ginger Kulazmbu is ready to serve
> Serve hot with Rice
