Elephant Foot yam fry  /Senai Kilangu fry



Ingredients :

Elephant foot yam - Small size
Oil - 1 Teaspoon
Mustard - Quarter teaspoon
Curry leaves - Handful
Garlic - 3 cloves
Tamarind - Little
Chili powder - Half teaspoon
Coriander powder - Half teaspoon
Salt- As required

Method :


> I have taken yam weighing around 250g 


> Peel and wash it by water


> Cut the yam into small pieces and crush the cloves before you start cooking.



> In a Pan heat oil and add mustard. Once mustard splitter adds curry leaves, garlic cloves, and tamarind.


>Then add diced yam and keep stirring for 2 or more min so that it doesn't stick to the pan. 


> Then add chili powder, coriander powder, and salt.


> Keep stirring until it fries as well


> Serve hot with Rice. You can even have it as an evening snack.
