Aval upma/Beaten rice/Poha
Ingredients:
Aval/Poha : 250g
Oil :1tea spoon
Mustard seed : Half tea spoon
Urid dal : Half tea spoon
Channa dal: Half tea spoon
Peanut:Handfull
Curry leaves: Few
Onion:one or two
Green chillies:Three
Salt: Required amount
Turmeric powder: A pinch
Method:
- Wash the Aval/Poha and drain out the water completely
- Keep it aside for atleast 10 to 15min
- Take a pan,Add 1 ts oil into it,Add mustard seeds,urid dhall,chana dhall,peanut and curry leaves.
- Once the mustard splutter and then add onion,Green chillies and salt.
- Add a pinch of turmeric powder
- Saute until onion turns brown colour.
- Now Add beaten rice and mix it well
- cover and cook for a min in slow flame
- serve hot
- You can use white or red Poha
- Breakfast/Dinner receipe
