Aval upma/Poha receipe/Atukulu/Avalakki/Bajil/chuda/chira/sira/beaten rice

                                        Aval upma/Beaten rice/Poha

                                           

Ingredients:

Aval/Poha : 250g
Oil :1tea spoon
Mustard seed : Half tea spoon
Urid dal : Half tea spoon
Channa dal: Half tea spoon
Peanut:Handfull
Curry leaves: Few
Onion:one or two
Green chillies:Three
Salt: Required amount
Turmeric powder: A pinch


Method:

  • Wash the Aval/Poha and drain out the water completely
  • Keep it aside for atleast 10 to 15min
  • Take a pan,Add 1 ts oil into it,Add mustard seeds,urid dhall,chana dhall,peanut and curry leaves.
  • Once the mustard splutter and then add onion,Green chillies and salt.
  • Add a pinch of turmeric powder
  • Saute until onion turns brown colour.
  • Now Add beaten rice and mix it well
  • cover and cook for a min in slow flame
  • serve hot

Hot Poha 
Tips: 

  • You can use white or red Poha                   
  • Breakfast/Dinner receipe
