FISH GRAVY/MEEN KUZHAMBU


Ingredients:
Fish - 3
Gingelly oil - 3 tablespoon
Onion - 2 Medium
Tomato - 2 Medium
Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
Chili powder - 1 teaspoon
Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
Cumin powder - 1/4 teaspoon
Pepper powder - 1/4 teaspoon
Fenugreek powder - 1/4 teaspoon
Garlic cloves - 6 to 10
Mustard - 1/4 teaspoon
Fenugreek seeds - 1/4 teaspoon
Tamarind - Lemon size
Coriander leaves - Handful
Salt - As required

Method:

> Clean the fish before starting the process
Soak the tamarind into a half glass water 
Heat the pan with oil and mustard, once mustard splutter adds fenugreek
> Then add onions and garlic.
> Once the onion turns brown add tomatoes, turmeric, and salt
> Wait till tomatoes turn mushy 
> Then add masala powder (Chili, coriander, jeera, pepper, and fenugreek)
> Now add a glass of  tamarind water and let it boil
> Now add cleaned fish and let it boil

> After 10 min switch off the flame and add coriander leaves.
> Serve hot with rice, dosa and idly.
